A room built around a single cup.
Maison opened in 2014 in a former bookbinder's workshop off Alder Lane. We kept the plaster walls, the light, and very little else.
Everything we serve passes through few hands. Green coffee arrives from two farms we have bought from for nine years; it is roasted on a Tuesday and rested until Friday. The pastry is laminated overnight. The menu stays short so that nothing on it is an afterthought.
We do not take bookings and we do not play music loudly. What we offer is a quiet table, an honest cup and someone behind the bar who knows exactly what is in it.

Home delivery
Order before 11am and we bring coffee, beans and pastry to your door within three miles of Fitzrovia — same day, no charge over £25.
Beans by subscription
250g or 1kg of the current roast, shipped every week or fortnight. Pause or change the coffee whenever you like.
Dine in
Sixteen seats, warm light and free power at the long table. No bookings, no time limit on a table.
Takeaway & click and collect
Order ahead from the counter menu and skip the queue. Cups are compostable; bring your own for 40p off.
Private hire & events
The room seats twenty-four standing for evening tastings, launches and small gatherings, with a barista on the bar.
Wholesale & training
We supply five kitchens across London and run half-day espresso training for their teams every month.
